NEWS Contact: Lisa Shoemaker September 25, 2007 Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association endorses Pickering for Auditor Laurel – State Senator Stacey Pickering, Republican candidate for Mississippi State Auditor, recently received the endorsement of the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association. “I am concerned about the safety of every Mississippian traveling on our local and state roads,” said Stacey Pickering. Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association is committed to improving the quality Hot Mix Asphalt for their members and is constantly conducting research in all fields of asphalt paving. “As your next state auditor, I’ll continue to support issues that improve the infrastructure in Mississippi.” Pickering noted the importance of an association that works to not only educate the public on the asphalt paving industry but to improving the overall stability of Mississippi. "The membership of the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement proudly endorses Stacey E. Pickering for State Auditor,” said Tone Garrett, Executive Director of MAPA. “His proven abilities will serve Mississippi well."
